The St. Lawrence County Health Initiative will soon offer free “I Can Feel Better” six-week workshops in Brasher, Canton, Gouverneur, Potsdam and Ogdensburg.
The sessions are appropriate for those with chronic health conditions that have affected their life.
Topics will include how to deal with frustration, pain and fatigue; effective exercise techniques; communication skills; nutrition; and how to make healthy lifestyle choices.
Weekly workshops will be offered starting 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9 at the LBSH Housing complex in Brasher; 5 p.m. Jan. 9 at the Canton high rise, 35 Riverside Dr.; 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11 at Pine Grove Apartments, Gouverneur; 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at Lawrence Avenue Apartments, Potsdam; and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at Centennial Terrace Housing, Ogdensburg.
