CANTON — Who’s ready for the 2024 Farmers Market Season? GardenShare is!
St. Lawrence County is less than a month away from the Canton Farmers Market opening day on Friday, May 11, and the Potsdam Farmers Market opening day on Saturday, May 12, the organization announced in a press release.
The Spring market season is a time to get acquainted with the experience of eating with the seasons, said GardenShare.
While there are not as many produce options available during the month of May, the market is an opportunity to stock up on maple syrup and farm fresh eggs, get transplants for your personal garden, or pick up some baked goods, the organization said.
GardenShare announced a $20 per day cost-sharing match for SNAP/EBT recipients through its Bonus Bucks program until June 30.
Starting July 1, the Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) program will become available to offer the same $20 per day match for SNAP/EBT shoppers.
