NORWOOD -- Over 45 paddlers recently participated in Norwood Lake Association’s 9th Annual Paddle Poker Run.

Young and old water enthusiasts enjoyed a sunny day on Norwood Lake collecting poker chips to turn in for a poker hand upon completing the challenge. Prizes were awarded for the winning poker hands in three divisions - adult, child and non-paddler.

Norwood’s own Brass Firemen were on the water also, playing favorites while cruising the lake.

Participants and spectators were also able to purchase tickets for a raffle (merchandise and gift cards) provided by local merchants

Proceeds from the event will benefit the NLA’s Jim McFadden Memorial Scholarship Fund, awarded to a graduating NNCS senior.
