Slideshow: Green Energy Fair in Potsdam

POTSDAM — The 10th annual Sustainability Day and Green Living Fair took place Friday, featuring an electric vehicle car show and more than 30 exhibitors highlighting ways to eat local, conserve energy, be climate-prepared and reduce energy bills.

The event was hosted by SUNY Potsdam and took place at the Barrington Student Union.

A line up of electric vehicles were on display, with owners in attendance to answer questions. This year, the public was invited to take test drives of some models during the Electric Vehicle Car Show.

The theme of the free event was “Energy Futures” and more than a dozen informative workshops were offered and a number of displays and exhibits were on view.

Sponsors included the WISER Center at SUNY Potsdam, Peter & Kathy Wyckoff, State University of New York Potsdam, Siemens Energy, Casella Waste Systems, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Clarkson University, Potsdam and Canton Climate Smart Communities Initiatives, Never Tire Farm, North Country Clean Energy Hub, Local Living Venture, SUNY Canton, St. Lawrence University, Algonquin to Adirondack Collaborative, and Waste Not Permaculture.
