LISBON -- Slic Network Solutions has scheduled an open house in Lisbon to share information about its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service in the North Country.
An all fiber-optic network in the greater Lisbon area, covering parts of Flackville, Lisbon, Heuvelton, a portion of Ogdensburg, and other towns, is nearing completion, being built by Slic, the locally-owned provider of phone and high-speed internet services.
The open house, to explain available services, will be in the Lisbon Central School lobby from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15. Slic representatives will have maps of service areas and will answer questions and process service applications.
This event coincides with Lisbon Central School's Holiday Concert. Open house attendees are encouraged to arrive before 6 p.m. to avoid parking issues.
Area residents that are not able to attend can get questions answered by calling Slic Network Solutions' Customer Service at (866) 261-7518 (Option 1), or by visiting the www.slic.com.
Customers can pre-order services to get the earliest possible installation date. Installations are now being booked nearly four weeks in advance.
