Seven arrested in Gouverneur on meth charges following drug raid

GOUVERNEUR — Seven people were arrested after a search warrant was executed earlier this year, according to Gouverneur police.

During an investigation into suspicious activity at 208 West Main Street Gouverneur a search warrant was conducted on February 11, 2020, police said. A quantity of methamphetamine and methamphetamine-making materials were reportedly found during the search warrant.

The St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s office issued indictments for Rosemary C. Moore, Logan M. Johns, Trevor L. Martin, Brian L. Friend, Dylan EJ. Miller, Desiree M. Wilmarth, and Erica J. Jackson.

All of the subjects were charged with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine.

Mrs. Moore received additional charges of fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal sale of a controlled, officers said. Mr. Johns and Mrs. Wilmarth received additional charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

"All defendants were released on their own recognizes without bail due to the New York State bail reform laws," officers said.

Gouverneur police thanked the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, Department of Homeland Security and the New York State Police C.C.E.R.T. Team for assistance during the investigation.
