MASSENA –  The Salvation Army of Massena 2024 Red Kettle Campaign fell just shy of its $55,000 fundraising goal, with a total of $54,285 raised. Despite the shortfall of only $715, the organization is grateful for the generous support of local donors, volunteers, and community members who helped make this year’s campaign a success.

“We are incredibly thankful for the outpouring of generosity from our community,” said Lt. Nicholas White, of the Salvation Army. “While we did not meet our exact goal, every dollar raised goes directly to supporting our programs and services right here around the Massena area that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families in need. The impact of this campaign will be felt for months to come.”

The funds raised through the Red Kettle Campaign help provide essential services, including food, shelter, youth programs, and emergency assistance to those in crisis throughout Massena and surrounding areas. With continued community support, the Salvation Army is able to carry out its mission to serve those in need regardless of their circumstances.

Though the final tally did not reach the $55,000 target, the campaign’s success is a testament to the compassion and kindness of local residents. The Salvation Army remains committed to meeting the needs of the community and is already looking forward to next year’s campaign.

“We are optimistic about the future and excited for what we can accomplish together with our community in 2025,” Lt. Nicholas added.

The Salvation Army would like to express its heartfelt thanks to all those who contributed to the campaign, as well as the volunteers who rang bells at kettle locations across the area.

Donations can still be made in person at 178 Victory Road, Massena or by mail to P.O. Box 107 Massena NY 13662.
