FORT COVINGTON — Students at Salmon River Central will have access to breakfast and lunch for free starting Tuesday March 17, until schools reopen.
Schools are closed through at least April 20 due to COVID-19 concerns.
A statement from the school is as follows:
“In light of our voluntary school closing, we want to ensure that all families will still have access to school meals. We will be providing prepared meals through our Food Service Department at no cost to students. Meals will be available to all children 18 and under residing within our district. We will provide both breakfast and lunch at pickup points from 10:00- 11:30 am starting Tuesday March 17, until our schools reopen.
“Meals will be available at the following sites for pickup: Rainbow Park Fort Covington, Generations Park Hogansburg and Elm Circle parking lot in Westville. Parents can pick up meals for their children, children will not be required to be present.
“Our hope is that this will help with the pressure these unprecedented times are placing on our families and community.
“If you have any questions about the program please feel free to contact Nicole Foster at 518-358-6682 or nfoster@srk12.org.
