Here are results of contested races throughout St. Lawrence County:

Brasher Races

In Brasher, with 486 ballots counted, Larry Hewlett, a Democrat, won the race for highway superintendent, with 265 votes. Andrew B. Gray, running on the Republican party line, has 204.

In a four-way race for two Brasher Town Council, Christopher Rose, a Republican, with 348 votes, and Jodi White, a Democrat, with 226, were elected.

Democrat Sue Hourihan received 219 votes and Republican Chuck Collins 202.

Clifton Race

In Clifton, with 178 votes counted, Democrats William R. Griffin, with 111 votes, and Mary Zuhlsdorf, with 101, were elected to the town council in a three-way race. Republican Brett Blackmer received 94 votes.

Colton Races

With 515 votes counted, Republican Ronnie Robert won a three-way race for Colton town supervisor with 238 votes. Kirke W. Perry, a Democrat and Sensible People’s Party candidate, has 206, and Peggy L. Mousaw, running on the Stop Tax Shifts party line, has 64.

Winners in a four-way race for two Colton Town Council positions were Republicans Jake Poste, with 297 votes, and Kevin Beary, with 241. Democrats Jacqueline L. Johnson has 197 and Deborah J. Richards has 183.

In the race for a two-year unexpired Colton Town Council position, Republican Randi-Lee Cook Planty was elected with 279 votes. Democrat Leah Marie Payne Worden received 197.

DePeyster Race

With 112 votes counted, Republican Irene Hargrave won the race for town supervisor with 80 votes. Democrat Brian Bennett received 26.

Edwards Race

Elected in a three-way race for two Edwards Town Council seats were Republican Dianne L. Hurley, with 168 votes, and apparently Democrat Mark L. Rice, with 93. Republican Theodore Trudeau III received 91 votes, but the results are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.

Hammond Race

With 331 votes counted in Hammond, Roger Hadlock won a three-way race for highway superintendent. Republican Ted Elk received 133 votes and Steve E. Shoulette garnered 30.

Hermon Race

In Hermon, with 217 votes counted, Republicans Bob LaClair Jr., with 149 votes, and Kathy Carpenter, with 115, were elected to two seats on the town board. Lee J. Carvel, a Democrat, received 108 votes.

Hopkinton Races

In Hopkinton, with 260 votes counted, in a three-way race for two Town Council positions, winners were John M. Burns, running on the Home Rule party line, with 140 votes, and Republican Rick Eakins with 123. Justin K. Sweet, a Republican, received 109.

Vickie French, running on the For the People party line, was elected to a two-year unexpired town council term with 125 votes. David Hannon, running on the Home Rule party line, received 104.

Lawrence Races

In Lawrence, with 356 votes counted, the winner in the race for Superintendent of Highways, was Republican Ron Flannery with 221 votes. Gary Sirles, running on the Democrat and The People’s Party party lines, received 132.

In a three-way race for two Lawrence Town Council positions, winners were Republican James J. Ashley Jr. with 217, and Democrat Daniel Phelix with 170. Democrat Donald Chris Ayers received 144.Louisville Race

In Louisville, with 671 votes counted, Democrat John O’Brien won the race for highway superintendent, with 345 votes. Republican Bill Shirley received 318.

Madrid Races

In the race for Madrid Town Supervisor, with 408 votes counted, Republican Philip Paige appears to have won with 200 votes. Democrat Anthony Cooper received 192.

In the race for Madrid Superintendent of Highways, Democrat William Barkley was elected with 296. Republican Dennis Moore received 104.

Rossie Races

With 163 votes counted in Rossie, Republican Jeff Hutton was elected superintendent of highways, with 137 votes. Milton Edwin Marcellus received 21.

Elected in a three-way race for two town council seats were Republicans David G. Maloy, with 109, and Cynthia L. Gentile, with 80. Democrat Mollie Jenne-Phalen received 66.

Russell Race

In Russell, with 524 votes counted, Republican Timothy White was elected town supervisor, with 306 votes. Democrat Michael Perry Jr. received 196.

Democrat Richard L. Milleur was elected highway superintendent with 276 votes. Republican Franklin H. Mackin III received 231 and Larry Trombly 9.

In a three-way race for two town council seats, winners were Republican E. David Whiteford, with 275 votes, and Democrat Sandra Burnham with 267. Democrat Toni Whiteford Trobly received 199.

Waddington Races

With 741 votes counted, incumbent Democrat Alex Hammond has won re-election as town supervisor, with 412 votes. His Republican challenger, Kevin Liddell, received 321.

In a three-way race for two Waddington Town Council positions, Republicans Kelley L. Tiernan, with 481 votes, and Thomas A. Hunter, with 469 were elected.

Tenley Amo, running on the Democrat and Community First party lines, received 343.

All votes are unofficial and do not include absentee ballots.
