Raquette Valley Habitat for Humanity runs its spring walk-a-thon Sunday, May 1 at 2 p.m. in five locations around the county.
The annual fundraiser helps the organization fund construction of houses in St. Lawrence County for families who can use a little help. Their next project is in Norwood.
In Massena, meet at Robert Moses State Park beach; info: Norma LaPointe, 764-0787.
In Waddington, the walk starts at St. Mary’s Church, 38 Oak St; info: John Tenbusch, 388-4510.
The Norwood United Methodist Church at 8 Prospect St. is the gathering place; info: Marshall Smith, 353-2421.
In Canton, walkers will meet at the Partridge Run recreation trail; info: Will and Joanne Fassinger, 771-2038.
