PIERREPONT — A Potsdam man was jailed for allegedly driving an ATV while under the influence of alcohol and felony possession of a firearm, according to state police.
Michael T. Cornwell, 53, was arrested at 5 p.m. in the Hounds Haven parking lot on Keener Road at 5 p.m., police said.
He was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies and three counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon by a felon, troopers said.
He was also charged with felony DWI: Two previous conviction within last 10 years, ATV violations for intoxicated operator and failure to display registration number and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, officers said.
He was jailed on cash bail, police said.
