OGDENSBURG – The victim in a motor vehicle-pedestrian accident on July 3 was a 92-year-old Ogdensburg woman, according to Ogdensburg police in a press release issued on Monday.
Police confirmed that Roberta J. Hagerty, was killed after she was struck by a commercial vehicle on the 300 block of Ford Street ar0und 2:26 p.m.
Life saving measures attempted on scene by good samaritans and First Responders were unsuccessful and Hagerty was pronounced deceased on scene.
The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of the New York State Police Crash Reconstruction Unit. Assisting city police at the accident scene were the Ogdensburg Fire Department, Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad and St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
