AKWESASNE – After back to back rainouts at the Mohawk International Raceway, the weather finally decided to cooperate and allow a great night of racing. 

On hand for this Independence Weekend show it would be the 358's, Sportsman Series Race #2, the Pro Stocks, the Limited Sportsman, and the Mini Stocks. With the heat races completed it was time for the first feature of the evening which would be the Mini Stocks for 12 laps.

Starting on the pole it would be Rocky Francis for 12 laps. Cj LaVair would be your leader coming off of turn 2 on the first lap with Tony Freezo in second. By lap 4 Mike Greenfield would take the number 2 position. 

Greenfield wasn't done as on lap 6 he took his machine to this inside of Freezo car to take the lead. Greenfield would not look back as he would pick up the win on Firehouse Pizzeria night in the Mini Stocks.

The Limited Sportsman were set to go for their 15 lap event as Justin Lazore and Colby Fregoe would lead from the front row.  Lazore would take to the bottom to lead lap one. After consecutive cautions, Lazore would remain on the pole with Jacory Thompson to his outside.  On the restart, Brady Howard who was running in 7th place would venture to the topside and overtake the 6 other cars to capture the lead. Howard would dominate the field to park his car in Victory Lane.

Round two of the Sportsman Series was next to take to the track. Jamy Begor and Josh Jock would be the first two cars to see the green flag for the 40 lap feature. Begor would not wait for anyone and was able to take a wide lead by lap 7, with Jock and Dan Jalbert running behind him.  By lap 11 Begor would see lap traffic for the first time with Jock and Jalbert still battling for the number 2 position. 

The yellow would come out for the first time as Karl Potvin came to a stop off turn 2 with Jalbert and Tristen Ladouceur running in second and third respectively. On the lap 15 restart, Begor would elect to fire from the bottom with Jalbert to his outside. Begor would be the leader at the halfway mark with Ladouceur in second. Ladouceur would take the lead from Begor on lap 22 by slipping past him as the cars entered turn 3. Despite the late efforts from Josh Jock who finished in second place, Ladouceur had his machine dialed in and brought home the Swamp's Automotive Checkers for the win in the Series.

The 358 modifieds were the next division to see the raceway. In honor of Dale Planck, who recently passed, a Missing Man formation would be in place. Dustin Bradley and Lucas Fuller would make up the number 1 and 2 positions for the 30 lap feature. From the J&L Detail Start Zone, the green flag would be displayed as Fuller would come around to lead lap 1. Tyler Meeks would move around the top two cars to take the number one position on lap 2. Meeks would lead the first 5 laps as Chris Raabe would start his march forward as he would be in second. By lap 10 Raabe was ripping up the topside and was able to overtake Meeks for the lead. The yellow would come out on lap 15 as Madison Mulder came to a stop in turn 2. On the restart Raabe would immediately jump to the highside and begin to pull away from Preston Forbes who was running in second. By lap 24 Forbes would begin to show some power as he was able to cut Raabe's lead in half. By lap 27 Forbes, by keeping his car on the bottom, was able to get past Raabe for the lead. Preston Forbes would only see a clear race track in front of him for the rest of the way to capture the Checkers.

The final feature of the evening would see the Pro Stocks for a 20 lap feature. On the pole Burton Ward would have Marc Lalonde to his outside. Marc Lalonde would become the new leader on lap 2 with Ward, Bushey, Joel Herne and Denis Gauvreau in the top 5. Gauvreau would get around Tyler Bushey and Herne on lap 8 for the number 3 spot. The first yellow would come out on lap 17 as John Greene III stopped on the back stretch along with Marc Peladeau. On the restart, Lalonde would elect to fire from the top side with Ward on the bottom. Lalonde would go on his way to pick the win on Firehouse Pizzeria night.
