CANTON - Pamela G. Mudge, age 80, of Canton, New York, formerly of Danbury, Connecticut, passed away on October 13, 2026. She was born on February 3, 1946, in Danbury, Connecticut, to Michael and Mary Guzy.

Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ogdensburg.

She leaves behind her brother, Michael Guzy, and his wife, Robin; her son, Kevin Mudge, and his wife, Patty Mudge; and her grandchildren, Connor and Shane Mudge. She is also survived by her nieces, Jennifer Salvatore, her husband, Paul Salvatore, and their son, Paul Jr.; Carrie Morrell, her husband, Rich Morrell, and their children, Richie and James; and Allison Gaulard, her husband, Tom Gaulard, and their children, Claire and Jase. She also leaves behind her cousins, Charles Gavell and his wife, Joanne Gavell, and Melinda Mudge.

Pam always gave of herself, going the extra mile to be an amazing daughter, sister, mom, second mom, dad, cousin, friend, nurse, and sounding board. She was all those things and more.

Working for nearly half a century as a neonatal care nurse, she saved so many tiny lives and gave so much to families during their most difficult times of need. Countless letters from grateful new families have been received over the years. She was also a lactation consultant, helping new moms find their way through the often-tedious labor of love that comes with breastfeeding.

She was a second mom to many, especially my brothers, Bob Sayers, Scott Jewell, and Steve Polyak.

Pam sold the family home in Danbury and relocated to Canton, New York, to be closer to us. Her health was poorer than we realized, and we were so happy to have Mom and Grandma close to us. She made new friends at dialysis and was thankful for their help and friendship, especially her close friend Bob, Dr. Singh, and Dr. Jaitley. To all those who took such good care of her, thank you.

A private family gathering will take place, as Pam did not want a funeral.

Donations may be made in her honor to the Volunteer Transport Center, 3 Commerce Lane, Canton, NY 13617. They made such a difference in our lives over the last few years.
