OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad (OVRS) reports the election results for the 2002 Board of Directors and Assistant Chiefs for Operations.
OVRS also presented its annual service awards, including years of service, two special awards and yearly excellence awards.
Bruce Lewis was elected vice president, Robert “Storm” Cilley, treasurer; and Charles Abel, director. They join elected members Michael Paige, president; David Ford, secretary; John Porter and Matt McDonald, directors.
Joining the Operations staff with Ken Gardner, chief of emergency services, are assistant chiefs David Montroy and Tyler Clark.
Years of Service awards were given to David Ford and Jennifer Rishe, 10 years; Ron French, 15 years; Mike Paige, 20 years; and Storm Cilley, 40 years.
Special awards were presented to OVRS retirees Stephen Fortune, 38 years; and Brenden Murphy, 14 years.
Yearly Excellence awards:
Diver of the Year - David Montroy
Rookie of the Year - Allison Paige
Employee of the Year - Aaron Lindquist
Chief’s Award - Charles Abel
President’s Award - Ken Gardner
Member of the Year - Michael Paige
