OGDENSBURG – A special meeting of the Ogdensburg City Council scheduled for tonight at 7 p.m. has been canceled.
The meeting was set to address resolutions related to passing the city budget. An executive session was also planned to discuss the employment history of a particular individual.
Many were hopeful the council would restore funding to the library. Several people spoke in support of library at the previous council meeting.
City Manager Sarah Purdy said the meeting was canceled because not enough councilors were able to attend. The cancellation came in wake of reports that Deputy Mayor Dan Skamperle was injured in a hunting accident.
