NORFOLK — The Norfolk Fall Festival will be held Sept. 28-Oct. 1 with a variety of fall and Halloween themed events including a Halloween house decorating contest, food trucks, candy hunt, magic show, bounce houses, parade and scarecrow contest.
Scheduled:
Thursday, Sept. 28 — 5:30 p.m., kick spaghetti dinner at Norfolk Fire Department; and 6:30 p.m., Halloween house judging.
Friday, Sept. 29 — 4-8 p.m., food trucks, Alexander's Dogs; 4-8 p.m., flossy fairy floss cotton candy, face painting, balloon animals; 4-8 p.m., bounce houses, slides, obstacle course; 5:30 p.m., kid Halloween candy hunt; and 6 p.m., kids magic show with Presto Pete and the Incredible Chris.
Saturday, Sept. 30 — 10 a.m.-4 p.m., large vendor fair; 10 a.m.-12 p.m., 50% off at The Whistle Stop Thrift Store; 12-6 p.m., scarecrow walk and voting; 12-8 p.m., bounce houses, obstacle course & slides; 12-8 p.m., food trucks; 12-8 p.m., Flossy Fairy Floss, cotton candy, face painting, balloon animals; 12-4 p.m., petting zoo & pony rides; 12-4 p.m., Her-Petology; 12-4 p.m., North Country Crusaders Carnival Games; 1 p.m., parade; and 5 p.m., cornhole tournament.
Sunday, Oct. 1 — Closing breakfast 8-11 a.m., closing breakfast at the American Legion. Winners announced for contests.
The festival will also include several events staged from Sept. 23-30, including a Halloween Story Walk in Raymondville Park; Sidewalk Art Contest (post to Facebook page); a scavenger hunt, with details on the festival Facebook page; scarecrow contest; anyone can enter, prizes are $75 first, $50 second, $25 third. Have scarecrows to the arena by ll a.m. on Sept. 30. The community will judge.
