POTSDAM - Niles Wealth Management has made a generous $50,000 pledge to the St. Lawrence Health Foundation’s Great Care Right Here Fundraising Campaign. The donation, made in loving memory of Mrs. Paula Niles, will be used to support Canton-Potsdam Hospital’s future 4th Floor Obstetrics Suite, which will be housed in Rochester Regional Health’s (RRH) newly constructed Regional Care Pavilion.
“We are very excited to help support this great cause,” stated Terry L. Niles. “Helping support this project is important to me and my family, and is our way of giving back to the community. A facility such as this will undoubtedly enhance what is already an excellent health care facility,” said Terry Niles.
The donation is especially meaningful to Ryan Niles and his wife Lara, a Specialty Nurse Practitioner within the Pulmonology Suite in Potsdam. “The resources allow the Hospital to focus on providing elite-level care to North Country residents,” said Ryan Niles.
“This pledge celebrates my mother, Paula’s, enduring spirit during her lifetime, while supporting the Hospital’s mission to provide exceptional care and hope to patients and their families. We hope this gift honors her legacy by making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, as she did every day,” he added.
"We are deeply grateful to Niles Wealth Management for their thoughtful gift in memory of Mrs. Niles. This meaningful gesture will have a lasting impact on the care we provide to families in our Obstetrics Suite. I’m especially thankful to Ryan, Terry, and Graham for their continued commitment to our community, not only through their business but through their generosity and service. As a dedicated board member and volunteer, Ryan exemplifies what it means to give back, and we are honored to partner with the Niles family in this way,” said Samantha Coffey.
The Maternity Unit at Canton-Potsdam Hospital, within the RRH network of care, delivered 619 babies in 2024, and the number of births at the Hospital is expected to keep increasing. Upon completion, the new Obstetrical Unit will provide comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care to women in and around St. Lawrence County, contributing to the integration of healthcare services and improving health outcomes.
