CANTON— Nature’s Storehouse, Canton’s independent natural-foods market since 1972, will host a free public tasting and open house on Saturday, July 19, from noon to 4 p.m. at its new expansion site, located at 19 Main Street.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a variety of new menu items planned for the upcoming Nature’s Café, including soy-free miso ramen, vegetarian meatballs, vegetable quiches, roasted vegetables, chickpea salads, refreshing mocktails, and gluten-free bakery treats. Guests can also tour the future café space during the event.
The new café will be created by opening a structural wall between 19 and 21 Main Street, uniting two historic storefronts into a single, light-filled space with indoor seating.
“With $479,000 in NY Forward funding and our own investment, we’re bringing a café, more local products, and a welcoming sit-down area to Main Street—without closing the existing store,” said co-owners Clark and Yen Maine.
Nature’s Café is expected to open later this year.
