Flags will be blowing this Memorial Day in St. Lawrence County with gusty winds expected, along with possible thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Forecasters predict a high near 77 today with winds 18-20 mph and gusts as high as 41 mph. There is a 70% chance of rain and thunderstorms, the service says. More showers, high winds and thunderstorms are possible overnight, with a low near 60.
Temperatures then begin to cool for mid-week in SLC, NWS says.
The extended forecast through next Sunday is as follows:

Showers likely, mainly after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Southwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 32 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Showers likely, mainly before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. West wind 8 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
