MASSENA -- Massena Meals On Wheels has been awarded a grant for $25,000 to help mitigate the effect of the pandemic.
The grant will ensure Meals on Wheels continues to provide meals to the increasing number of clients, and also purchase extra items needed to keep them safe, with the increased sanitary measures being taken,a press release said.
This donation will help Massena Meals on Wheels continue to serve elderly and disabled people in the community.
The funds were provided by the Alcoa Foundation to aid humanitarian organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
