Linda A. Redmond, 78, Ogdensburg

OGDENSBURG -- "In loving memory of Linda A. Redmond, 78, of Ogdensburg, who passed away on January 5th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024, at 3 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home, with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating.

Those who would like to pay their respects can do so preceding the service, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Frary Funeral Home.

This time provides friends and family with the opportunity to share memories and offer condolences. Entombment arrangements are scheduled for a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home.

Linda was born on September 16, 1945, in Brockville, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Robertson and Ida May Doyle. She dedicated over 25 years to the St. Lawrence Psychiatric Center as a therapy aide until her retirement in 2006.

Linda's vibrant spirit found joy in various pursuits, from playing softball and gardening to the warmth of knitting. She knitted hats and gloves for donation to local programs, showcasing her generosity. Linda also enjoyed playing "Candy Crush" and took pleasure in her triumphs in a local football pool. Most of all, she cherished moments with her family and her adoring pets.

Linda is survived by her children, Dawn and Vincent Redmond of Ogdensburg, and her grandchildren: Connor, Jacob, Garrett, Maxwell, and Autumn Bresett of Ogdensburg, as well as Tyler and Olivia Redmond of Virginia, and great-grandson Carter Bresett. Linda is also remembered by her siblings: Barry and James Robertson, Tom and Joe Doyle, and Donna McDougall.

She was preceded in death by her partner of many happy years, Richard McDonald, who passed in 2015.

Linda's legacy of love and warmth will forever be cherished in the hearts of those she touched. In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s memory may be made to the St. Lawrence Valley SPCA, P. O. Box 594, Ogdensburg, NY 13669.
