John R. Fisher, 60, Morley

John R. Fisher, 60, of Morley died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home.

John was born December 20, 1963 in Ogdensburg, a son of the late Edison and Nona (Dunn) Fisher. He graduated from Canton High School in 1982. He married Cynthia Atwood in 1987, the marriage ended in divorce. Later he married Lynn, which also ended in divorce.

John worked at the Moongate Nursing Home (United Helpers), Canton for several years. Following his employment at Moongate, he was a driver/operator for Bouyea-Fasset. He later worked for the Frito-Lay Company for a time before going back on the road with Freifhofer, which he currently maintained a route.

John enjoyed spending time with family, his girls were the light of his life. John possessed a great sense of humor, an infectious smile and a laugh that could fill a room.

He is survived by his daughters, Alicia Clifford and her husband Rocky, who John considered to be a son, of DeKalb; Kimberly Fisher of Parishville; grandchildren, Owen and Evan Clifford; a brother, Richard (Sandy) Fisher; step-children, Tony Baker and Carrie Bova and families; and four nephews, Lewis, William, Wyatt and Morgan

In additions to his parents, Edison and Nona, he was predeceased by a sister, Susan LaClair.

Calling hours for John will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. A graveside service will be held Sunday morning, January 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Madrid Cemetery.
