POTSDAM – Congregation Beth El will be hosting its 44th Annual Jewish Food Festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the synagogue on 81 Market St. The festival is open to everyone of all faiths in the North Country.   This annual fundraiser will feature Jewish specialty foods, a raffle, and a Hanukkah holiday gift sale.  On the main floor, there will be a bake sale, a raffle, and a gift shop. The bakery features fresh breads, sweets, and challah for purchase from Montreal, as well as home-baked foods from the congregation membership.  Downstairs will be set up as a traditional Kosher-style restaurant featuring potato latkes, cheese blintzes, bagels with cream cheese and lox, matzo ball soup, hummus, potato knishes, falafel in pita and noodle and potato kugel. There will be specialty dessert items.
