Jeanette M. LaBarge, 85, Potsdam

POTSDAM – Jeanette M. LaBarge, 85, a resident of Mayfield Drive passed away Monday evening, February 19, 2024, at United Helpers Rehabilitation and Senior Care in Canton.

Jeanette was born on January 6, 1939 in Russell, New York, the daughter of the late John and Elsie (Lincoln) White.

She worked for several years caring for the developmentally disabled retiring from the Wilton Developmental Center in Saratoga Springs. Jeanette was a communicant of Trinity Episcopal Church in Canton and cherished the time shared and friendships gained at the Mayfield Coffee Club and Senior gatherings. Of all her enjoyments, the precious time she spent at her camp on the water.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Michael Regan of Colton; her grandsons, Thor Joseph and Emily Merrill, Logan William Felske, Mike Regan III, and Jacob Regan (Katie Ames); her great granddaughter, Brooke Regan; her sisters, Barb and Clifford Woodrow and Beverly Williams; her brothers, Fred White, Richard “Kate” and Linda White, and Robert “Munk” and Debbie White; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was sadly predeceased by her son, Darren J. LaBarge in 1999; her sister, Vivian “Peggy’ Tiernan; her brother, John “Father” White; and her beloved pets, Sassy and Dolly.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam where friends may call Saturday 12-3:00 PM. A celebration of her life will be held later in the year.
