Jason L. Newcombe, 41, Massena

MASSENA -- Jason L. Newcombe age 41, passed away unexpectedly at his home Thursday (Jan. 4, 2024).

Arrangements are with the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Jason was born May 2, 1982, the son of Cheryl Newcombe in Massena.

He was a 1998 graduate of Massena Central High School and worked at Alcoa.

He united into marriage with Yvonne Miner and had 5 children.

While enjoying time with his family and friends Jason had a combined time frame of 25 years with volunteering in the Massena Vol. Fire Department, Louisville Fire department, and Massena rescue.

While being active in emergency services he furthered his education by becoming a basic EMT.

In his free time, Jason Enjoyed Softball, Broomball, Golfing, Bowling, Fishing and Hunting, and teaching T-ball.

He will be forever in the hearts of his wife, Yvonne, and his children, Taylor and her companion, Nicholas DeShane, Ethan Newcombe, Hunter Newcombe, Carlee Newcombe, and Gunner Newcombe all of Massena.  He is also survived by three grandchildren Oaklynn DeShane, Easton White, Ryker DeShane, and his chosen father Calvin LaPage.

Treasured memories will also be with his companion of 10 years, Amanda Deragon, and her children, Alyssa and Maddy, all of Massena, along with his fur babies, Skye and Mollie. His sister Bree (Andrew) Wilcox of Canton, and many nieces and nephews survive him.

Besides his mother, he is predeceased by a brother, Ricky LaShomb, his maternal grandparents, Leslie & Mary Newcombe, and his uncle, Bob Newcombe.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday (Jan 11, 2024) at 11 a.m. at the Flint Funeral Home, Moira.

Memorial contributions in Jason’s honor may be made at the Louisville Rod and Gun Club.
