WEST STOCKHOLM - Jacqueline “Jackie” Tracy, 68, peacefully left this world on January 13, 2024, with her loving family by her side.

Jackie was born on December 11, 1955, in Palmer, MA, one of two children, to the late Beverly “Nan” LaViolette. She graduated from Palmer High School and spent her summers at her grandparents in Norwood with her brother and her mom, who was also her best friend.

She later moved to Potsdam, NY, where she met and married the love of her life, Duane. This June they would have celebrated 45 years of marriage.

Jackie was a dedicated mother & wife, first and foremost. She treasured her children and being a Meme to her grandchildren, and supported them in any way she could. Even if that meant spending all her time in cold hockey arenas or having all of the neighborhood children over to swim in the pool.

Jackie loved people. Some of her most cherished memories included time with her friends and family. She loved weekends at Little Blue Mountain with the kids, Halloween, Christmas, flowers, campfires, buffalo plaid, and the 4th of July.

After dedicating her early years to raising her children, Jackie spent the next 25 years as a florist, creating beautiful arrangements for others to enjoy. She always had a special knack for design.

After retirement, she enjoyed time spent down at the sugar house, boating, camping at Twin Rocks, and traveling with Duane to as many NHRA drag races as they could. She was also a long-time member of the West Stockholm Ladies Auxiliary.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Duane, of West Stockholm; her children, Christopher (Christin) Tracy, Missy (Eric) Thomas, and Katie Tracy; her grandchildren, Coleton, Jackson, Raegan, and Lydia; her brother, Johnny (Sandy) of Palmer, MA, and countless nieces, nephews & friends who adored her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, February 4th from 4 pm – 7 pm at the Norwood American Legion, with loving words & memories shared at 5 pm.

Those wishing may make memorial contributions in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or a charity of one’s choice.

To all the special people in her life, thank you for loving her as much as we did.

Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam, where friends may share memories and offer condolences online at www.donaldsonseymour.com.
