POTSDAM -- Hospice and Palliative Care of St. Lawrence Valley is offering a free series of workshops to help people plan ahead for end-of-life issues.
Each workshop will feature coffee and conversation with funeral directors, and participants will be able to create legacy letters to pass on values to loved ones, and learn about the necessary documents needed to secure peace of mind for themselves and their families.
Workshop dates are as follows:
• In Case I Die, You Should Know … , Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Document checklist workshop presented by a local attorney specializing in Elder Care Law that will focus on legal and financial planning for the future. The purpose of this workshop is to help individuals understand what legal measures they need to take to make sure their wishes are known and honored.
• Creating Legacy Letters, Tuesday, Oct. 30 from 6-7:30 p.m. Participants will learn the art of writing legacy letters to pass on their values to loved ones. This workshop will be presented by Hospice Board Member, Linda Potter.
All sessions will be held at The Hospice Center on Route 11. Interested individuals can come to one or all sessions. There is no cost to attend, however pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
