Hammond Fire and Rescue Field Day, B-B-Q and Parade

HAMMOND – The Hammond Fire and Rescue Annual Field Day will be held on Saturday, July 20, at the fire station located at 300 Lake St.  

The day starts off with a chicken barbeque from 2-3:30. Pre-order take out or eat in chicken dinner by calling 315-783-2396.

The Firemen’s Parade follows at 7 p.m. and features many area high school bands, civic organizations and local groups.

Fire Chief Len Bickelhaupt describes the day, “as a fun family event with lots of things to do for kids of all ages.” 

The auction, bounce house, and kid’s games will open immediately after the parade and the day concludes with a dance from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. featuring the band Common Revolution.

Anyone wishing to donate items or gift certificates for the auction can contact any Hammond Firefighter or drop it off at the station July 15-19 after 6:30 p.m.
