POTSDAM -- Gloria A. Weller, 76, a longtime resident of State Highway 56, passed away Friday morning, March 29, 2024, at Canton-Potsdam Hospital after a courageous 3year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Gloria was born in Potsdam on October 19, 1947, the daughter of the late Harold and Leah (Sabre) Planty and attended schools in Potsdam. On March 19, 1966, she married Gerald Bernard Weller, he sadly predeceased her on December 9, 1969.
Gloria was a homemaker who dedicated her life to raising her children. She was a collector of many things and enjoyed garage sales, cooking, listening to music, dancing, gardening.
She also cherished the time she shared with her children and grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by her children, Terry Weller (Tammy LaShomb) of Potsdam and Lori Snyder of Norfolk; and her grandchildren, Michael Weller, Christopher Snyder, Allison Snyder, and Leah Weller.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Kevin Weller on May 28, 2015, and her longtime companion, Arnold Fefee on August 4, 2021.
Arrangements are under the care and guidance of the Donaldson-Seymour Funeral Home, Potsdam, where friends may call on Tuesday 2-4:00 PM with a service at 4:00 PM.
A celebration of her life will follow the services at the Potsdam Moose Lodge.
Burial will be held privately in Hillcrest Cemetery, Parishville.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Potsdam Animal Shelter or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
