He was born August 7th, 1955, to his father Gerald P. Jock Sr. and mother Mary Cook.

Jerry was a strong man, a loving father, and husband.

He was a lover of music across nearly every genre; his favorite artists include Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, Genesis, Led Zeppelin, Björk, and Alabama 3. He loved the cartoons he grew up with such as Looney Tunes, Peanuts, and The Flintstones and he was a lifelong fan of sci-fi films and television such as Doctor Who.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Phyllis and his sons, Dylan, Jason, Tyler, Ryan, and Toby. Jerry is also survived by a brother, Mike and wife Denise of Beaumont, Texas; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
