CANTON — Former St. Lawrence University women's ice hockey captain, Lindsay Charlebois LaSala '04 was honored as one of the inductees to the New York State Hockey Hall of Fame – Class of 2024,  July 13 in Troy, New York.

"We are thrilled not only to have a former SLU player inducted, but also a local, who has so many ties to St. Lawrence within her family," said head coach Chris Wells. "Lindsay being honored along with the other inductees speaks volumes of what she has done for women's hockey in NYS.”

During her time in Scarlet and Brown, Lindsay played in 144 games, scored seven goals and added 22 assists for 29 points. She is tied with 12 others for first in the Saints' record book with two goals in a game by a defenseman vs. Vermont on February 22, 2003.

She was also a member of the 2000-01 women's ice hockey team that was inducted into the St. Lawrence University Hall of Fame in 2017. That season, the Saints went 24-8-3, participated in the inaugural NCAA Women's Frozen Four and advanced to the championship game against Minnesota Duluth. During her four seasons with the Saints, the team posted four consecutive 20-plus win seasons and she helped captain the Saints to a NCAA Frozen Four third-place finish in 2003-04 as a senior.

Nowadays, you can find Lindsay all around the North Country with her children, supporting all the local youth hockey teams.

The 2024 New York State Hockey Hall of Fame induction class is made up of Bill Beaney, Courtney Burke, Scott Montagna, Frank Colabufo, Mike Eruzione, Don Kirnan, Lindsay Charlebois LaSala, Ken Morrow, Denis Potvin, Sam Rosen, Steve Warr, Mark Taylor, Ed Westfall and Howard Dolgan.

"What a special moment for her! Her contagious personality brings a smile to everyone's face when you see and meet her will be on full display this weekend in front of a very impressive group."
