NORWOOD – A dinner theater to benefit the Potsdam Humane Society will be held Wednesday, March 21 at the Lobster House.
A local group of actors will present “CHATS,” a play written and directed by Donna Wright.
The murder mystery is set in the CATskills. A badly needed wing is to be built at the animal shelter to house the overflow of cats. Unfortunately, the location is on a wet land, which causes quite a stir in the community.
Two opposing sides lead the fight. One side is led by shelter director, Shirley Catapolt, and the opposition by Elwood D. Gooder who opposes nearly everything in the community. The cast: Donna Wright as Shirley Catapolt; Elaine Kuracina as Kitty Trucklyle; Krista Freego as Fanny Felini; Art Johnson, Detective Brody; Chris Affre, Doggie Houser; and Jennifer Freego plays Veronica Katz.
Cocktail hour begins at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 each and include a choice of 4 entrees, salad, biscuits, coffee and dessert.
Tickets may be purchased at the Lobster House or the Potsdam Humane Society. Or if you prefer, mail a check to PHS, 17 Madrid Avenue, Potsdam NY 13676, and your ticket will be held for you at the door.
