COLTON — The Annual Colton Winterfest will be held Feb. 9-11, with a wide variety of events. Cardboard sled races, a frying pan toss, corn hole, archery, craft and vendor sale, a white elephant sale, Trivia, Kids Fest and Shrek the Musical are among the events. A ski challenge with distance markers will be offered at Higley Flow State Park both Saturday and Sunday. Also, the sledding hill at the Fish and Game Club will be open for the weekend. Events for Sunday Feb. 11: Free clothing giveaway 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at CPCS; Kids Fest with pancake eating contest, buddy sled race, s’mores and snow painting 11 a.m.-2 p.m. sponsored by Red Pine Cone; Fry pan toss followed bycorn hole tournament 10 a.m. at Colton Amvets 262; White Elephant Sale 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Colton Community Church; Superbowl Festivities 6:30 p.m. at Raquette River Pub; Kids Fest with fish crafts from 1-3 sponsored by South of the Rock Bait, Beer and Tackle Shop at the South Colton Community Center.
