COLTON – Ashley McKinley, a senior at Colton-Pierrepont School, created “Totes for Teen Boys” as her school project this year.
The totes were donated to the St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services Foster Care Unit, and are filled with personal hygiene products such as soap, body wash, deodorant, tooth paste, tooth brush, wash cloth, hand towel, water bottle, toque, and a note from one teen to another offering words of support.
This is the fourth year Ashley has donated to Foster Care in St. Lawrence County with cards of hope, handmade teddy bears, and last year “my body, my bag” project focusing on personal hygiene products for teen girls.
