OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center is temporarily closing the Lisbon, Madrid, and Heuvelton Health Centers to consolidate resources and supplies in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
These closing are a provisional measure, said a press release from the hospital. The medical center has other clinics open to meet healthcare needs at this time, the release said, including: Ogdensburg Health Center, 315-394-9462; Canton Health Center, 315-379-4700; and Waddington Health Center, 315-388-7872.
The closures allow CHMC to expand its respiratory clinics for those experiencing respiratory symptoms to receive an evaluation in a safe, isolated environment, the release said.
CHMC's first respiratory clinic in Ogdensburg is showing an increase in traffic and need, calling for the center to mirror the operation at its Canton Health Center. The Canton Respiratory Clinic will start seeing patients on April 7.
The respiratory clinics are open seven days a week. The hours of operation are 8 a.m.-6 p.m.
To make an appointment at either the Ogdensburg or Canton CHMC Respiratory Clinic call the CHMC Nursing Advice Hotline at 315-713-6655 for screening and further instructions.
