Junior Sara Artus (St. Regis Falls, NY) enjoyed yet another outstanding season for the Clarkson University Volleyball team in 2010 and was selected as an AVCA All-American for the second straight year on Tuesday.
Artus, who was picked as an Honorable Mention for the second consecutive season, dominated the Liberty League again by leading the conference in kills per set (4.21). That figure also ranked in the top 20 in the country, another repeat accomplishment for the junior outside hitter.
Artus led the league in kills (560) and kills per set, while ranking second in the league in hitting percentage (.304). She also was among the team leaders in aces (33), digs (211), and blocks (21). With her single-season record 560 kills in 2010, she has pushed her career total to 1214, the highest three-year total by any player in the history of the program.
