POTSDAM -- The community is invited to celebrate the Clarkson University Women's Hockey 2017 NCAA National Championship win with the team on Tuesday, March 28.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for Cheel Arena (#12 on the map at http://www.clarkson.edu/about/clarkson_map.pdf ). The official program begins at 5:15 p.m.
The first 500 people through the door will receive a free commemorative t-shirt.
Fans will have the opportunity to check out the trophy, meet the players, grab refreshments and get their faces painted.
This is the second NCAA National Championship for the Golden Knights, who also brought the title home to Potsdam in 2014.
The team stunned the #1-seeded Wisconsin University Badgers at the Frozen Four on Sunday to win the game 3-0.
Clarkson finished its second championship season in the 14-year history of the program with a 32-4-5 overall record, including a 19-1-2 first-place ECAC Hockey mark.
