POTSDAM – Clarkson's Reh Family Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurial Leadership, Christian Felzensztein, has been recently appointed Executive Board Member for the Entrepreneurship Committee at the Economic Development Agency of Chile.

This honored position recognized Felzensztein's extensive expertise on entrepreneurship and regional development. His contribution to the Chilean Economic Development Agency would be on how regions can be more innovative in supporting new industrial policies for entrepreneurship.

Felzensztein has recently received other international awards, including being named 'top author on Entrepreneurship in Latin America' by the Management Review Quarterly, USA and 'Best Research Award on Family Business in Latin America' by the Universidad de Monterrey in Mexico 2023.

His research agenda includes the study of startups’ scaling-up strategies, marketing strategies for start-up growth, and technology adaptation strategies for new ventures. This is in addition to collaboration in global research projects related to entrepreneurship under conditions of poverty in emerging economies; and how and when coopetition affects innovation in regional industry clusters.

Felzensztein holds a PhD and a M.Sc. in entrepreneurship and international marketing from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland UK; Executive Education from Harvard Business School; the Weitz Center for Sustainable Studies in Rehovot, Israel; and the University of Oxford in the UK.
