POTSDAM -- Clarkson University President Tony Collins has announced that Alan Christian has been granted tenure in the Department of Biology in the School of Arts & Sciences. He is a Professor of Biology.
Dr. Christian concentrates his research on investigating pure and applied life history, ecology, evolution research in freshwater ecosystems, especially freshwater mussels, and analyzing the effects of natural and anthropogenic perturbations (e.g. land use land cover change, urbanization, restoration) on freshwater organisms, populations, communities, and ecosystems.
