CANTON – In honor of prisoners of war and those missing in action, VFW Post 1231 will host a program on National POW-MIA Day Friday, Sept. 16 at 7 p.m., open to the public.
The movie, “Hallowed Grounds,” will be shown, focusing on 22 of America’s overseas military cemeteries in England, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, Italy, Tunisia, and the Phillipines.
More than 125,000 American men and women are buried in foreign soil and thousands more are missing.
