CANTON – The Canton Democratic Party held its annual caucus Thursday, June 20 and selected its candidates for upcoming town and village elections this November.
Democratic candidates for the two open town council seats include incumbent Bob Washo and newcomer Karin Blackburn, who will seek to fill replace trustee Phil LaMarche whose term concludes in December.
In the village races, which include the mayoral seat and two trustee positions, the Canton Democrats will back incumbent Mayor Mike Dalton, and incumbent Trustee Carol Pynchon.
Newcomer Anna Sorensen will run for the second trustee seat which will be vacated by Sean O’Brien, who has decided not to run again.
