The St. Lawrence County Suicide Awareness Coalition is thanking Brookfield Renewable North America for an $11,000 donation to support local suicide prevention efforts. The contribution followed the company’s annual golf tournament in August 2025 and reflects its ongoing commitment to community health and well-being. Funds raised through the tournament will support the coalition’s prevention, education and outreach efforts across St. Lawrence County. Those initiatives include expanding access to evidence-based training programs such as QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer), safeTALK and ASIST; increasing awareness of the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline; and supporting programs such as “Chalk the Walk,” bereavement resources and targeted outreach campaigns.
