The Blue House Restaurant in Madrid has reopened following a fire last spring.
The eatery sustained heavy damage during a May 12 blaze.
“Through community support, grit and determination we have been fortunate to be able to bring our dream back to new heights,”: said Josh Taillon. He owns the business with his wife Alicia.
The Blue House first opened in Jan. 2021 after nearly two years of planning and demolition.
Despite COVID restrictions and six months of take out service, the Blue House garnered significant attention and developed a strong local following.
Dine-in service was first offered in July 2021, with an extensive menu that included brick oven pizzas and weekly specials.
“Time has given us the opportunity to change for the better,” Taillon said.
There is a fresh new look with artistry and design that warms the interior, he said
“A new concept has emerged to bring thoughtful innovative food to our menu,” Taillon said.
The new hours are Thursday through Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m.
