MASSENA -- The Friends of the Nature Center at Robert Moses State Park host guided bird hikes Saturdays during August from 9 to 10:30 a.m., starting at the trail head just off the parking lot where the previous Nature Center was.
Participants do not have to bring anything, but bug spray and drinking water are recommended.
Education Specialist Linda Besio will have some binoculars and bird guide books available for public use, as well as a bird scope. The hike will be on gently rolling terrain and be led at a slow pace, giving much time for bird watching.
Participants are asked to call 705-5593 or email ncrebirth@yahoo.com to pre-register. The program is free to the public. All ages are welcome.
