OXBOW – A benefit for Scott ‘Vern’ Cunningham will be held Saturday, July 30 at 9 a.m. until 2 a.m. Sunday at the Oxbow Fire Hall.
Vern has been diagnosed with neuro-endocrine cancer at the age of 32.
He is a husband, father of two children, state correctional officer and a dedicated volunteer fireman with the Oxbow Fire Department for 16 years.
A full day of fun has been planned, including a parade at 1 p.m., a chicken barbecue at 2 p.m., children’s fun day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., raffles, food, drinks, aerial golf ball drop, live music and dancing.
All proceeds go directly to Vern and his family.
