The average price of gas has fallen 7 cents per gallon over the last three weeks in St. Lawrence County, but remains quite a bit higher than the state and federal average, according to Gasbuddy.
New York State gas prices have fallen in the past week, averaging $2.60, according to GasBuddy's daily survey of 6,118 stations. The average price for a gallon of gas in SLC is $2.77. The last time North Country Now ran a story about gas prices, on Jan. 28, the average price for a gallon of gas in St. Lawrence County was $2.70.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 3.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $2.42/g today. The national average is down 16.7 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands 13.9 cents per gallon higher than a year ago.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in New York is priced at $1.99/g today while the most expensive is $4.09/g, a difference of $2.10/g. The lowest price in the state today is $1.99/g while the highest is $4.09/g, a difference of $2.10/g. The cheapest price in the entire country today stands at $0.59/g while the most expensive is $101.90/g, a difference of $101.31/g.
