The ARC Jefferson-St. Lawrence (www.thearcjslc.org) has announced applications aare now being accepted for the children’s Summer Camp at Dodge Pond in Fine. The Rotary Clubs of St. Lawrence and Jefferson Counties assist with sponsorship for this experience so that it may be offered to children with disabilities ages 8 through 20 at no charge.
Additional funding also comes from the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities.
This year, the St. Lawrence County Week will be held July 8-12 and the Jefferson County Week is from July 15-19. To register, contact Dale Barker at 315-848-2336 or dfbarker@thearcjslc.orgsoon as spots fill up quickly.
Dodge Pond Summer Camp is owned and operated by The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence specifically for young people with disabilities. Their highly-trained staff supports individuals to have a safe outdoors experience following Department of Health regulations. During camp, young people enjoy campfires, swimming, hikes, crafts, games, boat rides, and fun with friends.
