GOUVERNEUR -- An Active Transportation and Complete Streets Workshop will be held Wednesday, June 26, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gouverneur Community Center.
The event is free and is sponsored by the St. Lawrence Health Initiative, New York State Department of Health, New York Bicycling Coalition, the Village of Gouverneur, and the Town of Gouverneur.
National expert Dan Suraci, AICP, Founder and Principal of Urban Cycling Solutions will lead the workshop. Suraci is an industry leader in bicycle mobility and active connections to transit.
The training was specifically designed for New York communities, featuring data and case studies from across the state.
The training is intended to educate and empower municipality staff, local planning boards, and key community stakeholders.
