5th Amazing Race Around Ogdensburg and Festival

OGDENSBURG – The First Presbyterian Church of Ogdensburg will be hosting its 5th Amazing Race Around Ogdensburg and introducing The Amazing Race Around Ogdensburg Festival on Aug. 15th and 16th. 

The festival will include a dunking booth, several craft venders, a food vender, games, and multiple bounce houses - one that has a water slide. Kids should bring swimsuits. 

On Friday from 4:30–6:30 there will be karaoke followed by a twisted trivia game with cash prizes.

On Saturday, the race begins at 9 a.m. and closes at 1 p.m.  During the race, the vendors, crafters, dunking booths, and bounce houses will be available as well. 

The Amazing Race Around Ogdensburg is NOT a foot race. Racers will require participants to race around the city of Ogdensburg visiting various businesses where they will be required to complete a variety of physical and mental challenges. No knowledge of Ogdensburg businesses is necessary in order to be successful in this race.

There are two categories in which you can register. 

The Family Team category has been created for up to 2 adults (at least 16 years of age) and as many children (under age 16) as there are in the family. This category is perfect for a mom and children, a dad and children, grandparents and children, or a caregiver and children. The children must all be under the age of 16. You can register just one adult and one child in this category. At least one person on the team must have a driver's license and a vehicle. Cost is $20 per person with a maximum of $80 per family team until July 16, and $25 person with a maximum of $100 per family after July 16.

The Up to four adults/young adults category is for any combination of up to 4 players where 3 or more are ages 16 and older. You can also register just two people in this category. This could be up to 4 adults or young adults; best friends, married couples, dating couples, colleagues or any group of up to 4 adult or young adult people who want to have fun. At least one person on the team must have a driver's license and a vehicle. Cost to enter is $20 per person until July 16, and $25 person after July 16.

Registration is now open and teams are encouraged to register early.  

Teams that register prior to July 16th will save $5 per racer on the registration fee.  

Teams that register prior to August 1st will gain the opportunity to earn pre-race credit which will allow them to erase minutes from their race score.
